![]() ![]() REFPROP CAPE-OPEN implements the CAPE-OPEN versions 1.0 and 1.1 thermodynamic standard implementation. ![]() One could for example use CAPE-OPEN to import thermodynamic calculations into Matlab (see Matlab CAPE-OPEN Thermo Import). Such programs can be flowsheet simulation applications (for example COCO), or any other type of application that requires thermodynamic and physical property calculations or thermodynamic phase equilibrium calculations. The CAPE-OPEN standards are freely available from the CAPE-OPEN Laboratory Networks.ĬAPE-OPEN defines standards for interaction of many types of process engineering software components this implementation uses the Thermodynamic and Physical Property standard description versions 1.0 and 1.1 to allow CAPE-OPEN compliant applications to use REFPROP for their thermodynamic calculations. CAPE is an acronym for Computer Aided Process Engineering. For more information about REFPROP, see the NIST web site.ĬAPE-OPEN is an open standard for interoperability of chemical process engineering applications. ![]() For this program to work, a separate installation of NIST's REFPROP version 8 or later must be present on your system. This program provides a CAPE-OPEN versions 1.0 and 1.1 interface to NIST's REFPROP application. ![]()
